​Founded in 2016, the Nova Lumberjacks society is a volunteer based registered Nova Scotia non-profit organization (Reg. #3295101). Our mission is to grow and promote lumberjack sports and its athletes.  We achieve this objective by organizing and hosting high level competitions,  coaching and mentoring young athletes and through funding initiatives.

Hosting Competitions

We have organize elite level competitions including:

• Nova Scotia Lumberjack Championships 7x 
• Canadian Axe Throwing Championships 3x
• 2022 World Double-bit Axe Throwing Championships

4H Partnership 

Starting in 2025, NLS and 4H are partnering to deliver a "Sportspersonship Award" to a 4H Lumbersports athlete who displays Leadership, Respect, Integrity, Team Sprit and a positive attitude.   Learn more here: Chronicles: March 4-H Newsletter
