The 2022 World Double-bit Axe Throwing Championships hosted 112 athletes from 10 nations to compete for $34,000 in prize money and world titles in Men's, Women's, Youth and Teams divisions. The event was hosted in Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena in Barrington, Nova Scotia over 3 days and brought in nearly 5000 spectators. The entire competition was filmed and produced into 3 half hour television episodes which aired on TSN in December of 2022 and are now available on YouTube.
